All around us there is an abundance of wild food and useful plants that grow without the need for pesticide, fertiliser, or any effort on our part. Many of these plants form the basis of our folk crafts and traditional cuisine - they are organic, local, in season, delicious, and free.
This website makes it possible for you to build a collaborative map of where these useful plants grow wild in your area. The aim of the resulting plant map is to provide a graphic illustration of the abundance of useful wild plants, and offer a way for people to reconnect with their food, craft, and nature.
As this website develops, we hope to offer the tools to for people to document what they find, and share information of how these plants can be used - as wild food recipes, craft skills tutorials, or just experiences on wild food walks.
